This MiiCoffee scale is fantastic! Such value for the aluminum body, glass top and nicely molded silicone insulator. Each of the three modes work great and are very easy to use. The espresso mode is most useful for my application with the Flair 58+ where the scale fits perfectly and looks super! The screen is bright and easy to read from any angle. Currently have no use for Bluetooth or flow tracking apps that need to be activated on the phone. This simple scale has three modes that work as expected. It feels very solid and the platform is stable; the beep tone is soft and clear.
I spent the last few months researching scales and could not justify a $180-300 flagship scale, but wanted a similar design and features. This scale is elegant, swift in operation and leaves little to be desired. It is such a gem!
The only improvements would be a way to set a target shot weight after the initial auto tare, say 15g, 18g, 20g, ...ect. and the display would flash a unique icon or beep 1-2g before to allow for some reaction time with lifting up on the lever. This would make pulling shots automatic and super consistent. Love that espresso mode will reliably auto tare in about 4 seconds. Finally, setting the power switch to the middle position defaults to muted beeps; this is highly appreciated. The mode is recalled when the scale is powered off with the display, but the settings are reset when the physical power switch is used. This works as a way to reset the scale to manual mode and this is convenient. The display response time, platform stability, intuitive mode selection along with easy cleaning of the glass top and aluminum make for an outstanding product. The MiiCoffee Minipress is a proper upgrade!
