If you see "E1" error when you turn on Apex espresso machine. It's probably the temperature sensor wires touch the side of the metal piece. Here is the picture showing the issue.
Here is the zoomed picture and you should see the issue clearly.
Please open the back and top panels of Apex by following this video.
The easy fix is to wrap around the temperature sensor wire with a tape. Please see the photo below.
