Versioning
There are a lot of confusion about DF grinder versions. Different sellers use different versioning schema. Some sellers deliberately use high version to trick people thinking they sell the latest version.
Here is how we version our products. We hope other sellers adopt the same schema and establish the same versioning standard.
The version is made up of two portions. The major version# and minor versions# and they are separated by a dot. Here are some samples, v1.0, v1.2, v2.4 etc. The major version# is reserved for a major design change. It must be a difference look and feel. In some sense it's a difference grinder from the old version. The example will be DF64 gen 1 and DF64 II. DF64 II is a completely difference grinder and the spare parts don't work for the old DF64 gen 1. The incremental improvement revs the minor version#. For example DF64 II v2.4 has the new inner chute design and ionizer for DF64 II. The incremental changes don't present a completely new grinder. Most parts are shared with the old version.
How do you find out which product version we sell? We use "Version Info" section in every product page. You can see the current version and old versions. Also all the change logs along with the version numbers. Here is the screenshot of our product page.
