DF54 comes with an indicator that cannot be moved. Most of the time the zero point doesn't match what the built-in indicator points. This 3d-printed indicator works around the limitation. It can be rotated to match the true zero point.

Nice addition to Df53

Not necessary but helpful added feature. Be sure to remove popcorn ring prior to putting ring on. Popcorn ring can be returned to barrel once the ring is in place.

DF 54 Dial Indicator Ring

It’s good somebody thought about this indicator ring. My df 54’s zero setting is about 5 marks past the grinder’s
“0” pointer so I have to mark the spot just before the burrs touch each other, now I don’t have to do that and the ring itself is tight enough that it doesn’t slip, but just for security, I install back the hex screw less the plastic indicator to give the ring a better hold in case it loosens in the future. So far right now I’m very happy with it. Good thinking 👍
