MiiCoffee DF54 single dose coffee grinder is entry level flat burr coffee grinder. It integrated the best elements from DF64 II but is made into a smaller package. The three seated position for the upper burr carrier integrated wave spring makes the grinding chamber absolutely stable. At the same time it achieves minimal retention at the new level. The exit chute is equipped with plasma generator (aka Ionizer) that reduces static to non-existent. DF54 comes with custom made stainless steel 54mm flat burrs that deliver a fluffy grind with minimal clumping and consistent particle size distribution. The integrated Anti-popcorn cover help increase grinding speed.

True Zero Retention <0.1 gram Even without bellow this grinder reaches almost zero retention. Blow-out funnel, with lid to completely empty the dead space.

I’m fully satisfied with my brand new DF54. Careful with the « true zero », you might need to experiment a little bit to find the perfect setting for your espresso.
Careful too if you order from Europe, DHL delivery + customs clearance add around 80€. Still worth it though, would buy again.
This is the first coffee grinder I’ve used for espresso shots. So far it’s great. There was an immediate difference in how my shots are pulling compared to having them ground elsewhere. I love that it’s made with good, durable materials as opposed to those with plastic exteriors. I do wish it came with (or I could’ve added) a 54mm dosing cup for Breville products. I’ve been making a mess transferring grounds, but I have a separate cup on the way now. Love that the beans don’t hop away from the blades. So far I never hear a solo bean struggling to get ground at the end. I’m happy with my decision. I haven’t had any issues with static. Oh and it’s pretty quiet when grinding.
The MiiCoffee DF54 is perfect for home use, offering good grind quality despite taking a bit longer due to its smaller burrs. It’s easy to clean, affordable, and ideal for those who value precision and simplicity.
Love this grinder. First flat bur grinder and I'm enjoying it. Not very loud, does create chaff, but if you regularly clean the ionizer it helps a lot.
Creates an immense amount of chaff and fines all over the front, spout, dosing cup and around the machine. I'm thinking that the ionizer is not working. I'm in FL where the humidity levels are in the 50-60% range inside and despite that, there is a lot of chaff and fines created. I have to keep a small vacuum cleaner handy to clean after every grinding session. Way too tedious. Perhaps I have a detective piece?
I zeroed the grinder after I received it and tried different settings for pour over. I've had to set the grind dial past 90 (like around an imaginary 110) and even then the grind is overly fine for pour over and the resulting coffee is bitter. I've tried with light, medium, medium-dark and dark roast beans from different sources with similar results.
Could I be doing something wrong?
Ionizer could be an issue. Please contact us via https://miicoffee.shop/pages/contact-us and we will ask you to shoot a video. The default burrs are espresso burrs. You can try our newly released brew burrs for pour over.
