MiiCoffee DF54 single dose coffee grinder is entry level flat burr coffee grinder. It integrated the best elements from DF64 II but is made into a smaller package. The three seated position for the upper burr carrier integrated wave spring makes the grinding chamber absolutely stable. At the same time it achieves minimal retention at the new level. The exit chute is equipped with plasma generator (aka Ionizer) that reduces static to non-existent. DF54 comes with custom made stainless steel 54mm flat burrs that deliver a fluffy grind with minimal clumping and consistent particle size distribution. The integrated Anti-popcorn cover help increase grinding speed.

  • The current version is v1.3 This version comes with one piece metal declumper and it helps with the clogging issue.
  • Previous versions:
    • v1.2 It has a new inner chute design. The plasma generator probes wrap around the inner chute. The old version has probes inside the chute.

    • Stepless Adjustment Redesigned dial is wrapped with chrome. The included metal indicator makes grind size so much easy to adjust. The adjustment is stepless. It can be dialed in for espresso with high precision.

      Quality control?

      I had heard the true zero could be off so I also ordered the 3D printed dial to replace the stock one. Well, not only was true zero, not near the zero marker, the funnel of the grinder was smaller than usual. The 3D printed zero marker was no where near snug. The customer service was prompt and refunded the 3D printed piece, but was pretty cavalier about the whole thing. Seems like there’s a lot of accepted wiggle room with quality control.

      If you can shell out for the grinder, absolutely worth it!

      The grinder pretty much came ready to use right out of the box. Feels heavy-duty, and the grind adjuster is a bit tight but feel very stable! It offers a really great range of grinds at least in my opinion for a home grinder and the coffees we've been making are truly delicious. Ranging from pour-overs, french press, and aeropress.

      Grind goes into the dosing cup pretty well. We've only been using it for a month now so will update if anything changes.

      Clogs constantly, anti static only lasts for one shot then needs to be cleaned. Makes a mess on my counter. Extremely disappointed.

      Grinder stopped working at first use

      The grinder spout keeps getting clogged and stops working from the first use. Awful experience and very frustrating to use. I've transitioned back to manual grinder.
