MiiCoffee DF54 single dose coffee grinder is entry level flat burr coffee grinder. It integrated the best elements from DF64 II but is made into a smaller package. The three seated position for the upper burr carrier integrated wave spring makes the grinding chamber absolutely stable. At the same time it achieves minimal retention at the new level. The exit chute is equipped with plasma generator (aka Ionizer) that reduces static to non-existent. DF54 comes with custom made stainless steel 54mm flat burrs that deliver a fluffy grind with minimal clumping and consistent particle size distribution. The integrated Anti-popcorn cover help increase grinding speed.

  • The current version is v1.3 This version comes with one piece metal declumper and it helps with the clogging issue.

    • Stepless Adjustment Redesigned dial is wrapped with chrome. The included metal indicator makes grind size so much easy to adjust. The adjustment is stepless. It can be dialed in for espresso with high precision.

      This is my first burr grinder. As my first, I screwed up right away and clogged it twice. A Miicoffee service rep read that I had a problem and promptly responded with good suggestions. No more clogs and finely ground coffee. 4 stars only because the DF54 can be a bit messy, not to mention finicky. Still, I recommend it and would buy it again. Watch the Micoffee video and swap out the plastic cup for glass or metal.

      Good grinder, when it works. Jams consistently

      I didn’t do as much due diligence online as I should have before purchasing this grinder. For a dedicated piece of machinery that only does one thing, spending $250+ on a grinder should be more than suitable to shred through any coffee thrown its way. However; I experienced consistent jams and had to return this unit. This seems to be a common issue reported online. The declumper was installed incorrectly and had some cracks in it, which caused them it to eventually bend outward several times. After the fifth time disassembling the unit and putting it back together, I asked MiiCoffee for a refund. The MiiCoffee team was fabulous and professional. Seems like a good company, I just cannot recommend this product.

      Excellent Grinder, All You Need

      I have really enjoyed using the DF54. It has very little retention, which was my biggest complaint with other grinders at this price point. It is relatively mess free AS LONG AS you spray your beans before grinding. The build quality seems excellent as the grinder itself is very heavy and sturdy. It was extremely easy to dial in, and the large grind setting dial is very easy to adjust.

      Good grinder, but misleading claims about static issues

      Overall, I am very happy with the grind consistency.

      However, there's a lot of issues with static. After cleaning the burrs and chute from the inside, it works fine for 1 cycle, then in the next round, it's static city with grinds everywhere! The humidity in my house is 60-70%, which is quite high. The website claims "Plasma Generator (aka Ionizer) The exit chute is equipped with plasma generator (aka Ionizer). It reduces static to non-existent." but this is not the case.

      Amazing Espresso Grinding Machine

      It looks small by dimensions but it is heavy duty. It does a fantastic job grinding espresso beans for our decaffeinated drinks. Gives us the flexibility and freshness for our very low decaf sales. We could not be happier.
