Portafilter Dosing Kits for DF Series Grinders

Seems like a soft material. Not a solid metal like the one that came with it.it does seem to hold the portafilter good, but the metal coffee dosing cup that came with the df83 barely fits. The arms have to be bent outward for the dosing cup to fit.

Poor 3D printing. Holes in the surface off the bracket, stabilizing pin on the back doesn't fit the hole in the grinder housing. Besides this the left arm off the bracket broke off after a week because of the bad 3D printing quality.
I hope the quality of the grinder and the customer support of mii coffee is better.

It works. That’s about all I can say about it in a positive manner. The one I received does not lock into the holes to stabilize. Screw is torqued pretty tight but you can still rotate the arms by hand. Also wish it didn’t look like it was created in some kids bedroom. Would be willing to pay more for a more “finished” product

I ordered this in it worked just fine except it's a raw 3D print, edges were sharp and occasionally I hit my knuckles and actually cut myself. Also my dosing funnel didn't fit snug on there.
All this to say I had to do a lot of finishing work. I used a metal file in ground back some of the plastic so my dosing funnel would fit on properly and I use some fine grit sandpaper and a file to grind down the edges so they are all smooth and didn't cut me. After that it's been fine but I agree with another review. It's not a finished product. It's just a cheap 3D print or nobody did any extra work to it. I'm still using it.

Original holder does not hold portafilter securely, but this add-on does. Very simple to swap out with just one screw. however, it is made out of rugged plastic that does not feel smooth. Would be a lot nicer if it was made of metal or higher quality plastic. For $20, it feels expensive for something that that should have been included in the original design of the grinder.
