SSP HU (High-Uniformity) Espresso Grinding 64mm Flat Burrs' custom geometrical cutting patterns are engineered for optimal grinding performance for espresso. They are designed for espresso with a high degree of uniformity, allowing for the extraction of the most intense and flavorful coffee. The High-Uniformity 64mm burrs improve the quality of espresso extractions and drastically decrease grinding time. The 64mm High-Uniformity Red Speed burr set is ideal for those who primarily brew espresso, but they will also produce an decent grind quality for pour over.

SSP 64mm High-Uniformity Red Speed burr set were made to last a lifetime. Comprised of tool steel material coated with Red Speed Titanium Aluminum Carbon Nitride (TiAICN), you can expect these burrs to last through over 10,000 pounds of coffee before needing a new pair.

SSP 64mm High-Uniformity Red Speed burrs are compatible for the Mazzer Super Jolly, Option-O Lagom P64 and many other 64mm flat burr espresso grinders e.g DF64 series and Fellow Ode.

A worthy upgrade

The SSP HU transformed my DF64 into the espresso focused grinder I always wanted. It's much better than the stock burs. Even the sound changed, presumably because the red speed coating is tougher and cut through the beans in a more effective way. The shots are sweet with lots of body and the grinding settings are somewhat forgiving. I recommend it if you have a second grinder for filtered coffee.

I installed these burrs on a Mazzer Mini E. and they are outstanding. The only problem I had was removing the old burrs. I even applied a cold chisel and hammer to the old burrs, and they were not going to budge. Then I tried applying some penetrating oil and after a few minutes the burr popped right out. The grind is uniform and unlocks all the beans potential. No more clumping. I am sure the grind will only get better after they are completely broken in. I did run a couple of pounds through the grinder to speed up the break-in process. Completely satisfied and worth the money.

Didn't exactly fit without effort

I have a Ceado E5P (64mm) and the SSP HU burrs were not that easy to install. The top burr went in after some time, but the bottom burr had to be put in with a rubber mallet and wood block, so as not to damage it. The burrs are very nice, but expect some effort to install, if you want to keep them, since they don't slide right in as a replacement!

Installed on the Fellow Ode Gen 2. The clarity really stands out right from the start. After grinding around 500g, the body began to develop, and I could start sensing more layers in the cup.
It responds faithfully to precise brew recipes, which makes dialing in super fun. I’m really glad I made the switch!
